MVP Long Description
Based on our tried and tested MVP Harness, the MVP Long is designed to allow the addition of our Utility Hydration Cover, or similarly designed MOLLE hydration covers.
The MVP Shoulder Harness is designed similar to the PLCE style harness that attaches to a patrol belt order. Foam lined and very adaptable, this harness is an excellent platform from which to work off.
Four attachment points at the front and four (8 POINT HARNESS) at the rear, it will help you spread the load out evenly and help provide extra support with a heavy combat load.
One size fits all.
The Patrol Order set is good to goBy: Christopher Jackson on 29 December 2021I purchased the "MVP Long" and the "Belt Pad Patrol Order" together as a set in ATACS-AU. I did not purchase any SORD pouches with looplocs, however the straps of the MVP harness are long enough that you can weave them into the PALS webbing on the belt and pass them back toward the buckle. As described the belt and harness work with ALICE pouches and MOLLE/PALS. The patrol order system reminds me of the British PLCE. I tried mine with a few different configurations. I first tried it with a mix of British Osprey & BCB gear as well as USGI MOLLE, next I set it up with LBX Tactical and Eagle Industries pouches, finally I set it up with USGI ALICE. All set ups worked just fine. You'll have to take care when setting up the Patrol Order. It has ten adjustment points and will be able to fit a wide range of sizes, it will also go over body armor. Adjusting it will take about half an hour, but it is worth the effort to ensure the best fit. I'm 5'6", 155 pounds and the belt has only one more inch to be taken in, the MVP Long harness, is taken down as far as it will go in the rear. For anybody shorter than 5'4" or 5'3", you may want to consider the standard MVP harness, if you have a smaller waist you may need to purchase the small SBC MOLLE belt. In short, the MVP Long harness and Belt Pad Patrol Order will be fine for most sizes and for those who are smaller SORD has other options. At my size the patrol order fits me very well. The construction was excellent, everything was properly reinforced with the webbing adjustment straps running the full length of the MVP harness and stitched throughout. The quality standard and style of construction is comparable with the British Osprey equipment. In my opinion this was $30 well spent and hopefully the SORD brand gains a good following here in the States.
